I have taken my obsession to a new level. These are the ancient Seal Script version of the modern characters 齊天大聖 (Qitian Dasheng), or “Great Sage Equaling Heaven”, the rebellious title take by Sun Wukong during his war against heaven. This is my first tattoo. The bit up by the wrist (right on top of the bone) burned like fire. Thank you to Judy Chang at the Red Room (Banqiao District, New Taipei City, Taiwan) for doing the tattoo for me.

Setenil de las Bodegas- Spain
This Spanish town is famous for its dwellings being built into over hanging rock.
It is believed people have inhabited the area since pre historic times.
The name ‘Setenil de las Bodegas’ derives from the Latin phrase ‘seven times nothing’. This is in reference to the 7 times the Moorish town resisted Catholic takeover, which eventually occurred on the 7th siege.
